make images in pop up window (like montessori)

Alex Nov 25, 2013 06:31PM PST

hi how can I get my images instead of showing above the gallery to be in a pop up window like in the montessori theme? is it possible to only have the images pop up and not other pages?

if this isnt possible how can I edit the navigation arrows to make them centered and larger?

on a side note, I noticed the navigation between images reads "→/ / ×← " instead of "→/ × / ← "

I cannot find the code to the slashes anywhere, how could I change this?

1. It sounds like you’re looking for the lightbox functionality – find this option in your admin panel and activate it: Display options → Image sizes and other options → Enable Lightbox view for images.

2. In your Custom HTML, make this change to the script you’re using to place the “previous” link:

<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).bind("projectLoadComplete", function(e, pid){
    $(".project_index").after('<span class="project_divider">&nbsp;/&nbsp;</span><a href="#" id="prev_project">←</a>');
        return false;

To center it, make these changes in your CSS:

.project_header {
    text-align: center;
    position: relative;
    text-transform: capitalize;
    white-space: nowrap;

.project_header div {
    display: inline-block;

.project_divider {
    color: #555555;
    display: inline-block;

Note that the slashes can be targeted by .project_divider in your CSS.

great, thanks!

one more question- in this theme every project thumb has a transparent grey on either side of it. I managed to get the grey border on 3 sides, but not the top. Is there a way to get it to be complete border?

The border you see is the background of the .cardimgcrop element – add “padding” to that element to extend it on any size. Try this change:

.cardimgcrop {
    background: #252525;
    position: relative;
    height: 230px;
    width: 150px;
    -khtml-opacity: 0.75;
    opacity: 0.75;
    padding: 20px;
