Storing Personal Files

Last Updated: Sep 09, 2014 02:59PM PDT
Cargo offers a basic file storage feature that allows for uploading files other than your project images. You can host files like a PDF resume, a background image, an audio file, JS files, etc. The storage limit is 100 MB. To access it, edit one of your projects and click on the File icon () in the formatting toolbar.  Stored files can be placed into the Cargo audio or video player, or linked to elsewhere inside your website.

This feature requires a Site Upgrade. If your website loses its upgraded subscription, files will not be deleted but will become inaccessible until your website is upgraded again.

Third-party storage services like CloudApp , DropBox, and iCloud
will allow you to upload files which are accessible through a download page. However, the URLs that these services generate can't be used inside Cargo's audio or video player. FTP-based file hosting, or your Cargo personal file storage, should be used for this purpose.
