Creating links

Last Updated: Sep 03, 2013 03:56PM PDT
To create links inside projects and pages, write the text you'd like to have display for the link inside the project editor:
This is a link to the Cargo home page
Then, select that text with the cursor and click the Link button, above the Contents & layout area: link . When prompted, paste the destination URL into the field. The final result will look something like this:
 <a href="http://cargocollective.com" target="_blank">This is a link to the Cargo home page</a>
If you want the link to open in the same page instead of a new tab or window, change target="_blank" to target="_self" .

If you want to create an email link, use the following format:
 <a href="mailto:myemailaddress@example.com">Email me!</a>
You can also use a link in the text nav for this: admin panel → project list → New Link . In the Link URL field, place the contents of the href attribute:
mailto:myemailaddress@example.com

You can also use images for links (except in Passport, Runyon, and Landsat: see this article). Just place the {image} tag inside the html for the link:
<a href="http://cargocollective.com" target="_blank">{image 1}</a>
