Password protection

Last Updated: Mar 22, 2013 03:31PM PDT
You can lock your entire website as well as individual Projects and Pages using password protection. To lock your website, set up a password in your Settings → Site Details. To lock a Project or a Page, set up a password on the bottom of the project editor. Password protection is accessible only with a Site Upgrade.

To send a locked Project or Page to someone, right-click the "Direct link" on the very bottom of the project editor and copy the URL.
  • You will not be prompted for passwords on a website you're logged into
  • Projects and Pages can be locked only when set to "Off" in the project list
  • Locked content remains accessible until the browser session ends

To modify any UI elements, add the body.password_protected selector before any classes you wish to edit and apply the !important attribute to each property.
 body.password_protected {
    background: #999 !important;
    color: #000 !important;
}
