You can easily add Google Analytics to your Cargo website to track statistics like page views, referrals, etc. (requires a Site Upgrade)
- First you'll need an Analytics account
- The personal domain name that points to your Cargo website will be the domain to enter into your Analytics account (i.e. "www.example.com" or "blog.example.com")
- Find your tracking code inside your Analytics account, inside the Analytics admin section: Account → Property → Tracking Info. See also this article in the Google Analytics Support section: Find your tracking code, tracking ID, and property number in your account
- Paste the entire tracking code into your Custom HTML area
It may take up to 24 hours before Analytics begins to record activity in your website. If it doesn't work after this time, there may be issues inside your Custom HTML area: check that you are using the correct tracking code, and look for formatting issues elsewhere inside your Custom HTML.
Note: Placing the Analytics code inside the "Contents & Layout" area of your projects or pages instead of your Custom HTML will cause loading and display issues in your website.
